Wilbert "BB" Duplantis
Biography:
I was raised in the Gueydan, Klondike, Lake Arthur areas. My two brother-in-laws had hunting clubs and I learned to call from them. I was also guiding for them at the age of 15. I left the rice fields to go in the oil fields of Superior Oil and Exxon. I stayed in those fields for 41 years. After 2 years in the oil field I was drafted and went to Korea. I came back after 16 months (in one piece) and went back to work without loosing seniority. I married and had 6 children – 2 boys and 4 girls.
