Albert "Sonny" Bignar
Biography:
I was born in Jena, Louisiana, in 1938. My grandpa nicknamed me “Sonny” since I was the only boy in the family. That name stuck and I am still known as Sonny 70 years later. I have been making duck calls since 1999, after much encouragement from my good friend, James Yule. I have since made well over 300 calls. My style – both working and decorative calls (checkered and carved). I turn them on a lathe and complete by hand. My calls are branded with a connected AB. I enjoy working with native and exotic woods.
