Biography:

I was born in Morgan City, Louisiana in 1965. I have been married to my beautiful wife since 1990 and we have two children. My parents are both descendants of Cajun French and American Indian heritage. My grandfather and grandmother raised my mother and her two sisters in Kaplan, Louisiana, where they lived off the land - hunting and fishing for food and trade. I’ve been hunting ducks with a passion since 1981.

I was initially inspired to make duck calls after spending some time in the shop over at Faulk’s, watching and learning from Mr. Art Lejeune. Mr. Art was the first person that ever showed me how duck calls are made. Those visits to the Faulk’s workshop are what got me started with collecting duck calls years ago. I met Larry “Jacques” Lemaire in 2002, and was amazed by his craftsmanship making custom Cajun calls. I was contacted by Justin Arbuckle and asked to attend a gathering at Mr Howard Broussard’s home a few years ago. I spoke to Mr. Howard and Mr. Albert Thibodeaux several times before the gathering and built a respected relationship with them, encouraging me to continue making traditional Louisiana cane duck calls.
